Biography
A native of Queens, New York, Kevin J. Coyle joined the firm in 1996. After weathering five Vermont winters, Kevin moved south of the Mason-Dixon Line and has been telecommuting from home ever since. His specialty is researching, writing, and arguing motions and appeals. He has briefed and/or argued more than thirty appeals for the firm before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Vermont Supreme Court as well as numerous motions before the federal and state trial courts in Vermont. His practice focuses on litigation involving the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, statutory construction, state tort law, municipal contracts and employment, insurance coverage, and workers’ compensation. He is affectionately known among members of the firm as “The Law Man.”
While in law school, Kevin interned for two judges, litigated for the New York City Law Department, and copyedited legal treatises for Matthew Bender & Company, Inc.
